1. I can not replace Osinbajo as vice president – Tinubu

National leader of the All Progressives Party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has rubbished reports he is planning on becoming vice president in 2019.
He said there is no need to change the winning team of Buhari and Osinbajo.

2. Peace Corps Moves To Jail Inspector General Of Police

The Nigerian Peace Corps has asked the Federal High Court, Abuja, to imprison the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris to prison for alleged disregard of court orders.
The contempt charge against the IGP was premised on the alleged refusal of the police to vacate the headquarters of the organisation which it sealed on Feb. 28, during its official commissioning.

3. 21 vehicles, 5 motorcycles burnt in Lagos tanker explosion

At least 21 different vehicles and five motorcycles were burnt on Wednesday in Lagos after a tanker laden with petroleum product exploded in Festac area of Lagos.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), however, said no life was lost in the incident.

4. Army repels Boko Haram attack in Borno

Troops of the Nigerian Army on Wednesday repelled a violent attack by the Boko Haram insurgents at Mainok community in Kaga Local Government area of Borno.
Mainok, is located about 73 kilometres away  from Maiduguri.

5. Fayemi to account for N2.7b, 17 buses in according to Ekiti probe panel

The commission set up to investigate Kayode Fayemi’s administration as Ekiti g governor, headed by Justice Silas Oyewole has submitted its report to Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The commission, as part of its findings, said that the former governor must account for the whereabouts of N2.75 billion allocated for the execution of the construction of Ultra-Modern market in Ado Ekiti.

6. Fuel Scarcity: Motorists To Be Served Free Petrol From Stations Found Hoarding

Government has declared that petrol from filling stations found to be hoarding products would be confiscated and served free to motorists.
This was disclosed by Mr Umar Ajiya, the Managing Director, Nigerian Product Marketing Company, NPMC, on Wednesday.

7. FG finally pays N421m to Ikoyi whistle blower

The Federal Government, yesterday, paid N421 million to the Ikoyi whistle blower, who provided information leading to the recovery of funds at No. 16 Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

8. Kanu’s lawyer seeks pardon for detained IPOB members

Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has written a letter to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami requesting the federal government to free imprisoned IPOB members.
Ejiofor, in his letter, made reference to the 500 inmates granted pardon in Kano by President Muhammadu Buhari.

9. Manchester City set record of 15 consecutive premier league wins

Manchester City set a new record of 15 consecutive English premier league wins with a 4-0 demolition of Swansea City on Wednesday.
The win puts them 11 points clear at the top of the table.

10. Gareth Bale goal sends Real Madrid to club world cup finals

Gareth Bale came off the bench to score the winning goal against Al-Jazira and send Real Madrid into the finals of the club world cup.
Madrid will now face Brazilian club Gremio in the finals on Sunday.
